When It Matters Most

Every day in Austin, families hit a wall.
A fire. An eviction notice. A family living in their car. A mother fleeing domestic violence. An illness. A lost job. One bad break from losing everything.

The emergencies are real. They don’t wait.

We show up first.

When something breaks, timing matters. Most systems need paperwork, approvals, and time. Families in crisis don’t have that. Waiting doesn’t just delay help. It often makes the problem worse.

We move right away and cover the gap in the moment it matters most. The earlier we step in, the less financial and emotional damage is done, and the easier it is for a family to recover. We help stabilize things so others can step in and do the long-term work.

Most of our referrals come from people already on the ground, schools, social workers, and trusted partners, so we’re not starting from scratch. We know where the need is. We get help there.

The Neighborhood is all volunteer. No layers. No waiting lists. Nothing between a family and real help.

100% of every donation goes directly to families in crisis.
